What Pondstate stores
Pondstate stores the account details, pond state, rulings, factions, neighbour links, and notification records required to run your ongoing pond simulation.
We use this data to keep your pond persistent across sessions, deliver alerts you enable, and support core gameplay and account administration.
Information tied to your account
- Username, password hash, recovery question, recovery answer hash, and authentication/session records.
- If you use Sign in with Apple, Pondstate stores the Apple account identifier, any relay or real email Apple provides, and your Apple name fields when Apple shares them.
- Your pond name, timezone, age bracket, and saved settings.
- Generated pond events, reports, laws, factions, and neighbour relationships.
- Push registration metadata needed to send browser or iPhone notifications when enabled.
Push and device details
If you enable notifications, Pondstate stores the minimum subscription or device-token details needed to deliver those alerts. Notification delivery logs may also record delivery success or failure for debugging and operational support.
Your choices
You can update your pond settings, change your password, disable notifications, link an Apple account to an existing Pondstate account, or delete your account from Settings.
Apple may provide a private relay email instead of your real email address, and Pondstate stores whichever Apple shares for login and account-linking support. Deleting your account permanently removes the account and associated pond records that cascade from it.
